Daily Log~ 10/14/08

I'm back! The trip was really great but we ate JUNK all week long. It was so good and not stuff we get here since it was Southern food. :) So well worth the slight (ok...not so slight but it's been mostly water weight and is coming off fast!) gain but I was so ready to be back to eating healthy again!

Jason is on his last race of the season and when he gets back, he's joining me on WW! I'm so excited! It'll be so much easier when we're both eating healthy! Plus we can get our treadmill soon and will start exercising. I'm also looking at getting a bike so we can go out for rides with the kiddos.

Current Weight: 207.0 (Crazy! I gained 5lbs on vacation so I was 211.0 on Sunday AM. I've lost 4lbs in 2 days! Thank god for water weight!)

Dinner: ??? Depends what time I get back from dropping the kiddos off at my mom's.

Fresh Start! 9/24/08

I obviously haven't been doing well tracking. I've gotten behind and my weight loss has slowed to show for it! I lost nothing last week and only 0.2lbs this week. So I'm starting again today! I've already tracked my whole day and it's only 9am. I do best when I know what I'm eating the whole day instead of tracking after the fact.

I have 10 days until we leave for Atlanta and hope to have another big loss before then. I don't plan on tracking too much while we're there but I'll try to make decent choices. However, I know there are a few very not point friendly that DH wants to take me. We have something (zoo, aquarium etc) planned every day so I'll be getting a lot of AP with all the walking. And I plan on drinking a TON of water!

Weigh In and Daily Log~ 9/10/8!

Today is WI day and I'm down 3.4lbs!

I also had a maor NS victory last night and am so glad I did otherwise my loss would be a lot less. I had class until late and really wanted a quesadilla from Taco Bell after. I fought with myself the whole drive home. I actually got off the freeway and drove towards TB. And then made myself drive right PAST it! The craving went away after that. I'm SO glad I did! :)

I'm so happy that I stayed OP for a whole week! The first week is always the hardest and I think I can stck with it this time! My current goal is to be at my pre-preg weight (204lbs) before Avery's birthday on the 29th. That's only 2lbs so I'll definately make it! After that my goal is below 200 before December 1st. :)

My mom has the kiddos since I have school tonight and I got to sleep in this morning! Took me a while to get going and I ended up missing breakfast.

Daily Log~ 9/06/08

It's a late post but at least it's here! :) I didn't do too bad today. Went over into my Flex Points by a few but that's what they're there for! I told DH off for buying cookie dough today! That's one of my biggest weaknesses! Hopefully I can stay away from the rest of them, or at least figure them into my dailies...LoL

A bit of a challenge and a victory at lunch today! I had planned on walking to Boston Market for lunch at work but when I got there, they were closed for some repairs or something. I'd had my whole meal planned out and in the tracker. The only other thing close enough that I had time for was Burger King. I hadn't looked up points at all and I don't eat there often. So I made the best choice I could that I would be satisfied with and it turns out, it was one point less than what I was going to get at Boston Market! :) I could've ended up with something REALLY high in points but I made a good choice!

Daily Food Log- 9/5/08

Two days of staying OP so far! And the scale showed about a 2lb loss since Wed!

I'm doing a Fall Challenge on the WW boards and my goal is to be below 200lbs by December 1st. That's definately an obtainable goal if I stay OP like I have been!

Breakfast: 1/2 cup Fruit Loops, 1/2 cup 1% Milk- 2pts

Snack: Grande NF. No Whip Pumpkin Spice Latte- 5pts (And SO worth it!)

Lunch: 1/2 Leftover enchilada, light sour cream, homemade guacamole, chips- 9pts

Dinner: Pizza Pocket (see my other blog for recipe!), mac& cheese, salad- 12.5pts

Total: 28.5/29
Water: Aiming for 64oz.

Daily Log 9/04/08

I stayed OP yesterday! Hopefully I can keep it up! I had a change in dinner plans last night because the Spinach Lasagna was awful! I'm not a big fan of spinach but I thought the cheese would cover up the taste like in Spinach Artichoke Dip...umm...not so much! I took one bite and couldn't eat it. (DH liked it but he actually likes spinach...) So I ended up having a PB sandwich and milk after class. :)

I need to try and exercise today. I've never been a big exercise person but know I really need to. I can't wait to get my mom's treadmill because I know I'll use it. But until then, I'm going to start using the Wii Fit again. I'm aiming for an hour while the girls nap today. I'm also about to do yardwork which seems like exercise to me!

Today is WI day and I had a slight (0.4lb) gain. Not too bad considering I had In N Out last night! However, I really need to get my butt in gear and stay OP for a whole week. I haven't done that in a long time.

Breakfast: 1 packet Weight Control oatmeal, splash of milk (counted as 1/8 cup)- 3.5pts

Lunch: Steak sandwich and part of a small order of fries- 15pts

Dinner: Spinach Lasagna, salad- 9pts

Total: 27.5/29
Water: 32oz and about to fill up a 16oz glass again.
Exercise: None really because I have school tonight. We did walk around the mall though! LoL

Daily Log~ 9/2/08

Today is our Anniversary! We've been married 2 years and together for 5 today! :) I'd love to say we're going out and splurging on an amazing dinner but unfortunately, I have class right after work from 6-10pm. Hopefully we can celebrate this weekend.

This morning the scale showed a gain of 0.6lbs since last week's WI. Hopefully that will go back down by tomorrow but I'm not expecting much of a loss. This just means I have to try even harder next week!

Jason picked out the recipes for last night and not only were they low point, they were really tasty! I think we'll try making Chinese more often!

Happy September! It's a new month and a new start! I really need to start counting points better. Fall is right around the corner so we can go out for our walks without getting heat exhaustion! :)

UPDATE: DH did a great job picking out these recipes! They're actually pretty low in points!

Fell Off Track...Again!

I'm having so much trouble staying on track lately! Between starting school this past week and Jason's birthday this weekend, I just haven't been sticking to plan. I have 2 days until WI so I'm picking it back up today and hopefully will still see a loss this week.

Avery's birthday is in less than a month and I'd really like to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight before than. That's about 4-5lbs. I know I can easily do that if I stick to plan.

Hopefully we can pick up that treadmill soon so I can increase my exercising too!

Any ideas on how to stay motivated to stay OP?

Daily Food Log~ 08/28/08

I had a pretty big breakfast this morning (bigger than I thought!) and dinner for tonight is also a pretty high point meal. I planned a very light lunch and should still be within points as long as I stick to it and don't snack on junk. :) The dinner is SO worth the points too!

Good news on the exercise front! My mom is giving us her basically brand new treadmill! I'm so excited! It's a pretty expensive one too. Jason is trying to figure out when he can go get it (along with a new recliner from her! Yay Mom!) and then I can really get going on the exercise! I'm back in school now so I have a lot of reading to do. Now I can walk on the treadmill while I read during naptime. Hopefully Jason can get it soon!

BTW, does anyone else think the serving size for pretzel sticks (like 32 sticks) is WAY too big? It's only like 2pts but I just can't usually eat that many. I always do a 1/2 serving...guess they're a good snack for the points!

Daily Log~ 8/27/08

I have school tonight so I'm posting for the whole day even though we haven't had dinner yet. I've close to meeting all my goals for the day (see prior post). Today is my day off from exercising because it's a school night and we don't have time for our walk before I have to leave. We still have 5 days a week to do it though. :) I didn't have a fruit at the start of my breakfast (see weekly goals!) because I hadn't gone to the store yet and we were out of everything.

Oh and my MIL brought over a 41 OZ bag (OMG!) of Skittles the other day. No idea why. A 1 and 3 year old do not need Skittles and her son is diabetic! GRR! Anyway, Hannah was throwing fits over them and I couldn't keep my hand out of the bag. So I put a couple of handfuls in a baggie to use for potty training and THREW THE REST AWAY!! Go me! Of course I had one last handful but I counted it. :)

Total: 26/29- I'll either keep it at that in case of an overage at dinner or have a Luna bar at class if I'm starving.

Wednesday WI~ 8/27/08

Today was my first WI since I started back on WW. Not too good for a first week but still a loss. I am down 0.6lbs this week. I'm headed to the grocery store today and am going to stock up on some better snacking alternatives. I think that was my main issue last week.

My goals for the upcoming week are:

1. Get my 8 servings of water in every day.
2. Start each meal with a fruit/veggie.
3. No fast food. (Probably my biggest down fall this week. Within points but the salt makes you retain water.)
4. Find one new way to exercise.
5. Complete my daily food log post every day.

Daily Log 8/26/08

My log for today is a little off. My dentist told me not to eat anything that might get stuck in my extraction area and cause another infection. That limits me to basically soft foods. Ugh! It's also my first night of school and I'm working so I'll only have about an hour after work to get myself and the kiddos fed. I might end up just picking something up for myself on the way to school. Tomorrow is WI day so hopefully I see a bit of loss.

Ahhh! ToothAche!!!

I had a horrible night with my tooth problems and went to the dentist today. He said I have a localized infection plus dry socket from having my wisdom tooth removed last month. He then basically stabbed my gum and irrigated it out. Didn't help the pain AT ALL! Ugh! Now it's lunch time and I'm starving but just can't even fathom putting something in my mouth at this point. We'll see how I'm feeling later. 

I purposely had a ridiculously high point breakfast since I figured I wouldn't be eating much the rest of the day. Glad I did since that seems to be the case!

Quick Food Log

I'm suddenly having some problems with the area where I had my wisdom teeth removed and am prettu uncomfortable tonight. I'll just post a quick log of my food for today. It's not the best since I started having trouble eating this afternoon. No exercise either since I took a pain pill as soon as I got home from work and was definately not in any shape to go for a walk! Hopefully I can get into the dentist in the AM and get back on track!

Breakfast: Apple pie muffin, 1/2 oz of cheese- 4.5 pts

Lunch: Turkey bologna sandwich, 1/2 oz pretzel sticks, yoplait light yogurt- 6pts

Snack: Small slice german chocolate cake- 6pts?

Dinner: 1/4 cup rigatoni, 1/4 turkey spaghetti sauce, garlic cheese bread- 10pts

Snack: Milk shake w/ nonfat fro-yo (sorta helped the toothache...not really...bummer)- 2.5pts

Local Fair Day!

I worked this AM and kind of spur of the moment, Jason and I decided to take the girls to our local fair once I got home. Going at 4 in the afternoon obviously changed our dinner plans. So instead of a fairly healthy taco salad, we thoroughly enjoyed our fair food! The rest of my day was pretty decent in points and I earned about 6APs for walking around the fair for about 4 hours! I don't feel bad at all about what I chose to eat. We enjoyed the time so much and got some exercise in too!

Oh and I did really well on water today. I bought my normal 1.5 liter bottle (6- 8oz servings) but instead of taking all day to drink it (and not always finishing it), I drank it in 2 hours! :)

Daily Post 08/22/08

I am going to do my best to post my daily food log, as well as exercise, every day. It's tough on work days but I'll do my best! I had cancelled WW online because we're trying to save money but I'm finding it difficult to look up points without it. I've been using the online tools for so long that it's hard to go back! So I'm signing back up today. I figure I'll stop buying Starbucks which will save not only points but also balance out the 16.95 I will pay for the E-tools.

Welcome to My Journey to Becoming Healthy!

This was orginally going to be my weight loss blog but I realized I shouldn't only be focused on losing weight but also being healthy! There are so many ways of losing weight that are unhealthy and won't help you in the long run. While weight loss is a big part of my goal, I also want to be fit and in good overall health with good habits.

About 2 1/2 years ago, after the birth of my first daughter, I started Weight Watchers Online. I lost about 50lbs before getting pregnant with my 2nd daughter. Unfortunately, I gained it all back during that pregnancy. I have lost about 45lbs (from my ending pregnancy weight) in the past 11 months but have pretty much stopped in the last 2 months. I'm still at a very unhealthy weight and really need to get going again. I'd like to try to conceive our 3rd child next Fall and will not do it until I'm at my goal weight and healthy.

Another reason I want to make more of an effort to create a healthy lifestyle is because my husband is a newly diagnosed diabetic (as well as has bad cholesterol). I do all of the food shopping and meal prep in this family and my choices have a direct effect on Jason's health (not to mention my kids'!). We want to have him around for a long time and in order to keep him healthy, we need to change our lifestyle!

This blog will keep track of our eating, exercise and goals. I'm hoping this will enable us to be more accountable and keep us going on the right track!
